ROLE SUMMARY
To develop a diverse and skilled workforce needed to transform the food system you will work with stakeholders from universities (offering food technology programs/courses and other relevant academic fields) and other food industry experts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leading relationship development with university stakeholders, food industry professionals and student groups
- Analyzing gaps in education (e.g. formal or informal academic curriculum) and training (e.g. internship and fellowship programs) pipelines for the alternative protein workforce.
- Developing, organizing, and maintaining multimedia course materials and educational resources to support students and faculty in building, launching, and accrediting alternative protein courses, majors, and programs.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- Strong experience in PR/communications role with expertise in writing captivating content for a variety of mediums and audiences, development of communications plans, building media relations and finding the story.
- Ability to understand the elements of what makes a good story and be confident to sell into known and unknown journalists and outlets
- Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively, and to balance competing demands and priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational and project-management skills.
- Exceptional (level C1 or native) verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Self-starter with a curious nature and a drive to continuously improve.
- A positive, proactive, and enthusiastic work attitude.
- The ability to professionally communicate verbally and in writing with students, scientists, university administrators.
- Exceptional public speaking skills.
- The successful applicant will be a pragmatic go-getter who is flexible and loves taking on challenges in a fast-paced working environment.
- The ability to work well under pressure and manage time effectively.
- A professional and positive outlook with the ability to adapt and bond with a variety of stakeholders

Preferred:
- Experience in the food industry and/or degree or higher in biology, chemistry, engineering, food science, or a related scientific field.
- Knowledge of innovations in food, as well as an understanding and/or interest in the global food sector.
- Interest in public health, environmentalism, animal protection, or food security.
- Experience navigating university ecosystems and building educational programs.
- Comfort utilizing video, audio, social media, and other multimedia formats to educate and inspire academic stakeholders.
- Excellent (level B2 at least) verbal and written communication skills in Czech.
- Experience with EU projects.
- Experienced with working in remote teams.
