Bryan Research and Engineering develops the process simulation software ProMax, which is used worldwide by engineers in the oil and gas industry. Our company headquarters are in Bryan, Texas and we have offices in Brno and Singapore. From our Brno office, we provide process engineering consulting services to our customers in Europe and Russia.

After joining our team, you will spend a month or so working at our office in Brno learning the basics of ProMax before traveling to the United States for a few months of intensive training. You will travel throughout the United States to training courses and will begin to practice teaching them yourself. After returning to Brno, you will work on a variety of technical support projects and continue to practice teaching training courses. When you are ready - typically about a year after your start date - you will take responsibility for business development in a specific geographic territory.

Your typical week as a consulting engineer at BR&E might include helping a customer in Rome optimize energy consumption in a process unit they are designing and answering questions about vapor-liquid equilibrium predictions from a customer in Amsterdam before hopping on a plane to Madrid to teach a training course to a group of 20 process engineers.

You will gain broad exposure to the international oil and gas industry and every day brings new challenges and opportunities to learn and grow as a Chemical Engineer. Our customers are leaders in their fields and you will have the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the best and most experienced engineers in Europe.

Responsibilities

• Help clients in the oil and gas industry diagnose and solve process-related problems
• Provide high level support for ProMax® (process simulation software)
• Work with customers individually and in large groups
• Teach ProMax® training courses
• Provide on-site client support and training
• Promote additional ProMax® use and sales
• Develop and maintain training materials

Requirements

• M.S. or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering
• Ability to diagnose and solve problems in a variety of settings (e.g. face-to-face, phone, Internet)
• Capacity to tackle multiple assignments simultaneously with minimal supervision
• Competence with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Visio
• Russian language is a strong advantage
