  • Assesses potential application of company products to meet customer needs pre and/or post-sales and prepares detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions in alignment with manufacturer stated specifications. 
  • Creates detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions. Builds mini-applications with process simulation, often requiring rapid software modelling and/or product demo/training (at conferences, seminars, trade shows, or customer sites) for customer. May assist with optimizing products to meet customer needs and workflow requirements.

Job description

  • The Product Specialist Clinical Automation Laboratory for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics collaborates in the preparation of automation projects, is responsible for commissioning of technology and introduction into routine practice (setup, application, customer training, testing, maintenance, troubleshooting) after installation of laboratory automation products including analysers at customer site, in accordance with customer contracts.
  • We are looking for a reliable and accurate team player, who will take the responsibility for delegated tasks. A self-motivated and flexible person who is willing to travel. You will be a part of the Sales and Application Team and report to the Area Sales, responsible for managing opportunities, projects, installation and maintenance of Beckman Coulter products. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Provide on-site and on-line product and application support to the customer at the product expert level.
  • Provide product and application support to the customer at the level of laboratory operations expert consultation.
  • Provide support to the customer in the implementation of automated operations.
  • Design/implement appropriate workflow solutions for laboratory operations.
  • Provide On-site support for the necessary time during the transition to a new, automated, solution.
  • Monitor low supply, instrument orders and other indicators to ensure customer satisfaction.

It would be a plus if you also possess:

  • Master’s degree in clinical chemistry, Biomedicine, Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology
  • 3+ years of experience in a clinical laboratory, experience with laboratory automation is an advantage
  • A self-motivated individual who has an enthusiastic approach to customer service and has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills also ability to travel for 85% of time is required, infrequent international travel is possible
  • Very good command of spoken and written English and Czech or Slovakian
