I love people! Maybe because I like most of the people I meet, and also because I learn a lot about myself by studying them. I studied psychology at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague, and I realized that I had made the right choice, and I understood that this also means a lifelong education in this field and gradually finding my specialization and finding ways and opportunities to expand it further. This led me to professionally focus on the issue of managing people and creating such conditions that they like to return to work and find the time spent there positively fulfilling because it makes them feel good and makes them independent thinkers and creative personalities. I have had the opportunity to put this postulate into practice as Director of the National Institute of Education, Head of the Department for Studies and Student Affairs of the Rector's Office of Charles University. This postulate is still very true today, when I am Head of the Department of Social Affairs, Health and Education of the City Council.

Similarly to the way I like people, I enjoy working in the academic environment of the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, for which I developed the concept of the Counselling and Career Centre with great delight and pleasure, and since its inception I have been equally delighted to see how it is developing and providing psychological counselling to students. Similarly to the way I like people, I enjoy working in the academic environment of the University of Chemistry and Technology, for which I developed the concept of the Counselling and Career Centre with great delight and pleasure, and since its inception I have been equally delighted to see how it is developing and providing psychological counselling. In the From the Depths of the Soul section of SPIN you will regularly find my articles, which are often based on problems solved with students in the counselling centre. My life philosophy is simple - there is nothing to change on the path of life, only to keep learning. I can usually answer myself the question why, for what and at what cost. Every now and then I do inventory of my life and the world around me for the sake of order. I'm not an admirer of big names, although I have a lot of respect for their accomplishments. On the contrary, I am motivated and inspired by the ordinary and unassuming people around me. People who can overcome their limits and remain humble at heart. People who can change their habits for their own sake, despite the stereotypes. I like stories of people I can relate to, compare with and maybe even compete with a little bit. I only pass on what I believe and what I have tried and proved. Passing on is a great gift that should be used and understood as a person's duty to themselves and others.

Adviser in psychological counselling

I am an aspiring psychologist and psychotherapist. To date, my professional focus has primarily been on working with children and adolescents, from whom I have learned a great deal. I have worked in a school counseling center, a pedagogical-psychological counseling center, and in the field of prevention as a lecturer for programs focused on the mental health of high school students. Through internships and placements, I have also gained experience in a psychiatric hospital, a psychotherapeutic day care center, and a crisis center.

I am currently completing my psychology studies at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague. Concurrently, I am a participant in a comprehensive psychotherapeutic training program at PCA, which emphasizes respect for individuality and personal potential. Additionally, I have completed training in Comprehensive Crisis Intervention and am currently finishing a qualification course in Health Psychology.

Beyond my professional and academic pursuits, I value spending meaningful time in nature to recharge and bring renewed energy to my interactions with others. I enjoy being outdoors, the scent of fresh flowers, and the company of animals. I find fulfillment in experiencing new things, exploring unfamiliar places, and being inspired by human stories. I look forward to hearing yours.

I offer consultations in Czech, English, Ukrainian, and Russian./ Я також проводжу консультації українською мовою. / Я также провожу консультации на русском языке.

I studied Psychology at the Faculty of Arts, Charles University. During my studies I did crisis work, first on the Elpida crisis line and after graduation also face-to-face. At that time I also started psychotherapeutic training, in the Gestalt modality, and started to do therapy. I have long been interested in LGBTIAQ-related topics and relationships in general. My master's thesis dealt with asexuality.

I have been practicing psychology for a couple of years. In that time I have worked with seniors, adults and adolescents, both short and long term, for example at the Blue Door Therapy Center. I have also tried my hands at working as a game psychologist in the development of a horror board game. I work with people to explore their life journey and what they can do here and now to feel better on that journey.

I enjoy exploring and experiencing the diversity of life, both in my personal and work life.  Tea and tea culture, natural movement and community spaces have a stable place in my life.

Dr. Ing. Markéta Raková

I have spent my whole life providing people with the information they need to make decisions in important situations. I help them to take a step back and see the bigger picture, and to realize what is important. I work with students, managers, and business owners.

At UCT, you can find me not only at individual meetings, but also at various workshops and lectures related to careers, job searching, and mentoring.

Thanks to the fact that I myself studied chemistry in high school and at UCT (including a doctorate), I can understand what you are doing, what are the career opportunities in this field, and what each job will require of you. This is also because I have been discussing the possibilities and experiences of UCT students and graduates for many years. At the same time, I can offer you an insight into what kind of work you are likely to enjoy and find fulfilling. I am able to assess people, see their potential, and help them to discover their strengths and weaknesses. At our meeting, you can choose whether you want to be advised on a matter or find a solution with the help of my questions (in a coaching way).

I have management experience, where I helped various companies to find ways to increase customer, employee and employer satisfaction, set prices for products and services, and build a brand. Since 2010, I have been professionally dedicated to coaching. I have completed a coaching training accredited by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and have subsequently led trainings in basic and advanced coaching skills.

I also lead courses in communication, business and management skills, time management, stress management and other topics. In addition, I recruit new employees for small companies that do not have their own HR manager - so I sometimes sit on the other side of the table during interviews and selection processes.

I would be happy to share my knowledge and experience with you and help you find the right direction.

Associate Certified Coach (ICF) &

Gallup-Certified Strengths Coach

I am a professional coach certified by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and a certified Gallup coach specializing in strengths, their identification, application

and development. In addition, I work at VŠCHT Prague as a lawyer, you may know me from lectures on copyright law.

I will help you in particular to become aware of your

strengths and lead you to reflect on what really interests you, what you enjoy and what makes sense to you, and how you could combine, apply and further develop all this in your studies and future professional life.

I will support you in realizing your plans and dreams and not being afraid of possible failures or dead ends, because even they are part of the journey to happiness.

During our meetings, I will ask you more questions than give you advice, with the aim of helping you find your own answers to the questions and challenges you face. I believe that your own answers, reflecting your uniqueness and situation, will be of the greatest value and sustainability for you.

I work not only with individual clients, but also with teams in companies, where I help strengthen teamwork by working with individual team members to identify their strengths and then with the whole team on their ability to complement and strengthen each other based on what each person does best naturally.

I look forward to meeting you.
