Mentoring helps you with your career and personal development
The mentoring programme offers you the opportunity to create an informal relationship with a more experienced practitioner and take a step further on your journey. The cooperation is long-term, has no fixed structure and each mentored student, graduate or employee determines the basic objectives according to his/her individual needs. This can be in the areas of studies, career, and personal life.
There are two mentoring programmes at UCT Prague:
- Undergraduate mentoring– for Bachelor's and Master’s students
- Postgraduate mentoring– for PhD students, graduates and staff
Who is a mentor?
A mentor is someone who has experience in the field and passes it on to their mentee. Ideally, they should be based at an institution other than the one at which the mentee is studying or working. It is often advisable to find an expert in a field that the mentee does not understand so well. This will open up a unique opportunity for them to gain a better understanding of a related field or another issue that might be useful to them - for example, the business side of a scientific project.
Fall cycle of the mentoring programme
