Veronika earned her bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry and biotechnology, immediately followed by a master’s degree in Economics and management of chemical and food-related industries. Within her master studies she was a part of a three-month internship in Plzeňský prazdroj, where she helped optimize the bottling line and then created a model simulation of this line, which she published in her diploma thesis. Next, she undertook an internship in Unipetrol, where she optimized the work in their chemistry laboratory thanks to a time study she carried out. She went on to win the Student science conference at UCT with this work.
She went into business even before she begun university, therefore she has more than ten years of experience, which she would like to pass onto her mentee. Throughout her bachelors’ studies she worked in marketing, where she gained experience by communicating with people in business meetings, learned how to make and give a presentation, and obtained a wide overview of the finance market. She also did financial analysis for her clients and created individual finance plans for them. Since 2018 she works as a sales team manager. Currently she is working independently, is a leader to a team of eighteen members, leads lectures on marketing, presentation and managing abilities and also secures development of expert knowledge for her team.
Veronika loves to work with people. Especially because she likes to help others grow, to learn new things and to reach their goals, but also because she is surrounded by a team of wonderful positive people who create a work environment full of inspiration. Within her work she is often concerned with concepts such as motivation, planning, time-management and self-development. Besides all this experience she is also familiar with the world of chemistry, and would gladly share her knowledge from all these areas with her mentee. „I would like to pass my experiences on and therefore give something back to my university. It is also very nice to still be in contact with the school. “
