Talk Show and preparation for it

What is a Talk Show?

A Talk Show is a short presentation of your company/institution in the form of a conversation between a presenter and a company representative(s) (e.g. HR and technologist). You will introduce your company and discuss what potential employees can look forward to and what they need to be able to do in the selected positions.
Show that employment with your company doesn't have to be just a job, but also a great team, lots of benefits, or opportunities for career growth. A Talk Show is a great opportunity to reach more potential employees at once.

How does the Talk Show work?

A Talk Show is a structured conversation between a presenter (from the student body) and a representative(s) of the employer (max 2 people).  The event takes place without a presentation and is conducted according to the scenario below. You are advised to prepare possible answers to the questions given or your own input (details, interesting facts) to present to the students.

The Talk Show is designed for an audience of approximately 30, students have the option to register in advance or attend the event without registering. The length is 25 minutes including space for questions from the audience, for which the last 5 minutes are usually reserved.

How to prepare for the Talk Show?

Consider who will be representing your company. For students, the most interesting combination in terms of their questions is a representative from the human resources department who can introduce the employer and knows all the job opportunities, and a practitioner - e.g. a technologist or specialist. Their big advantage is that they are able to present the employer to the students from a professional perspective.
