A diploma and the decision on what to do next
Graduation is mainly associated with writing a good final thesis and the successful completion of state examinations. But beyond that, you also have to decide where to go next. There are plenty of options, so it's a good idea to explore all of them carefully – do you want to continue your studies or start a job in the industry? Which position is best for you?
How to write a thesis
On the school Intranet, you will find (after logging in) basic information on writing theses - a sample document, tips on writing and citing, how to print and submit the thesis, etc.
The National Library of Technology (NTK) offers you free participation in courses, workshops and personal consultations that can help you a lot with writing your thesis. You will learn how to structure your text, where to find expert sources, and how to cite them. Other useful lectures are also organized by the Tutors Association.
Final graduation
Graduation is the final ceremony that officially concludes your studies. Together with your classmates, after completing state exams and defending your final thesis, you will take the solemn oath and receive your diploma. The ceremony has a specific programme and dress code, which you will learn in due time (see the brochure Graduation and Alumni for basic information).
